2024 PRE WorkshopCompleting a data task is a standard part of applying to pre-doctoral positions. To help you prepare, we have designed a sample data task for you to review. If you choose, you may complete the data task before the PRE Workshop and submit it to us for review. If you do, then we will assign you a mentor during the PRE Workshop to give you individualized feedback. If you do not wish to complete the data task in advance of the workshop, that's completely fine. Everyone who does not submit a data task response will instead be able to watch someone do a guided walk-through of the task in R or in STATA.
If you wish to submit a data task response, you may do so here. If you submit by the end of the day on Wednesday, August 7, your task will be reviewed and assigned to a mentor. We will continue to assign data task responses after that as mentors are available. We won't be able to accept any responses after Sunday, August 11.
