Data exercise workshop hosted by Opportunity Insights

Opportunity Insights (OI) will be hosting a data exercise workshop on Friday, October 1 at 3:00 pm EDT directed towards students who are interested in applying to predoctoral/research assistant positions in the social sciences and economics more specifically. During the workshop, which will be led by current Predoctoral Fellows at Opportunity Insights, students will be guided through a sample data exercise, a common component of the application process for these positions. Opportunity Insights hopes to contribute to a more diverse and inclusive social science profession by lowering the barriers that many future scholars face when starting their research careers. Students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds (women, LGBTQ, Black, Indigenous, Latinx, first-generation, and low-income students, among others) are particularly encouraged to attend.
